Safe Sport - Resources and Presentation

Safe Sport is creating a healthy, positive safe training and competitive environment that by its CULTURAL nature is free of maltreatment and abuse.

Banff Alpine Racers and Bow Valley Quikies take Safe Sport seriously.  Our coaches are required to complete Safe Sport online training each year and attend Club Training.  We highly encourage parents to take the FREE online course to educate ourselves on prevention of maltreatment in sport.  Athletes in U14-FIS attend in house education sessions on Safe Sport with Head Coaches each season.

Below are Video sessions with complimentary Slideshows.  In 2022 BAR/BVQ hired Alison Forsyth from ITP Sport presented parent, athlete and coach information sessions at Norquay.  We want to ensure the safety, well-being and inclusion of our membership.  ITP Sport specializes in Safe Sport, and are helping guide Banff Alpine Racers and Bow Valley Quikies in the right direction for the future of sport.
